In terms of assessment, I honestly like giving quizzes and tests the most. Regardless of whether or not you can demonstrate knowledge through some sort of alternative assessment, in today's standards-driven schools students will have to take tests to graduate high school, get into college and become licensed professionals. There must be some standard by which measure knowledge and skills, and formal assessments most certaintly accomplish this task. The trick is giving quality tests.
