Lesson Plan
S.A.T. Sentence Completion BINGO
Course: S.A.T. Prep
Unit: The Critical Reading Section
Overview: This lesson is an ongoing exercise in S.A.T. vocabulary and sentence completion. First taught at the beginning of the year, this lesson allows students to practice the skills needed to ace sentence completion items on the Critical Reading section of the S.A.T. and to use the most common vocabulary words used in the test. The lesson is basically just the use of BINGO cards with vocabulary words instead of numbers and BINGO clues phrased as fill-in-the-blank sentences projected at random from a PowerPoint presentation.
Objectives: Students will prepare for the S.A.T. by (a) practicing sentence completion test questions and (b) using vocabulary words that frequently appear on the test.
