#13 The teacher demonstrates professionalism.
In addition to teaching class during the day, I did what every dedicated educator should also do: sponsor an extra-curricular activity. This year, I coached the Swim Team, which was perfect given my background in swimming and lifeguarding. I still maintain valid certification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, most recently updated April 30, 2008.
