Behavior Essays

The following essays were an assignment given as an effort to get my class under control.
This was at the very beginning of my teaching career, and I barely knew what I was doing.
Although it took a lot more than this assignment to gain solid classroom management skills,
they did open my eyes to some things I had not yet considered.

T.A.P.P. Outcome(s):

#9 The teacher will demonstrate critical and reflective thinking skills. I read theses assignments
critically and reflectively, with the intention of seeing myself from the students' piont of view,
and making any changes to myself or teaching style as needed.

#10 The teacher will demonstrate appropriate and effective interpersonal skills with students,
teachers, parents, and administrators. Insofar as their was a mutual exchange of thoughts between
myself and the students, these behavior essays are one example of my interpersonal skills students.

#11 The teacher will demonstrate classroom management using various techniques. The behavior essays
were one technique I tried to get my classroom under control by thinking about the causes and effects of
the chaos in the classroom.
